Dr. Kristy Leissle is a scholar of the global cocoa and chocolate industries, and her new book on the geopolitics of cocoa will be out in March 2018. She is faculty at the University of Washington Bothell, where she teaches Global Studies & African Studies. Kristy also works with cocoa producer organizations in Sierra Leone and Uganda, helping them gain access to specialty chocolate markets in the US and Europe. She currently resides in Seattle and London, and is relocating in 2018 to Accra, Ghana.
